Fees

 

Wendy Summer: Fees are $180 for each 50-minute session. Case management work (letter writing, phones calls, emails) is charged at this rate in 15-minute increments.

Megan Kiernan: Fees are $100 for each 50-minute session. Case management is charged at this rate in 15-minute increments.

 

Wendy and Megan use an online client portal program to manage billing (and scheduling). After every session, the portal creates an invoice, and at the end of every month, the program generates at statement. Fees can be paid online through the portal with a credit card or in person with cash or check.

Wendy and Megan do not accept insurance but can create the documents necessary for clients to file claims through their insurance company should they decide to do so. Please note that in filing insurance, insurance companies require practitioners to give clients a mental health diagnosis. Also note that any money an insurance company may pay is paid directly to clients; clients are responsible for full payment for sessions.

Good Faith Estimate: You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost. Under the law, health care providers need to give patients with no insurance or those are not using insurance an estimate of the bill. You can ask for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service. Additionally, if you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your good faith estimate, you can dispute the bill.
