Young Adults

Therapy dedicated to the unique needs of ages 18 to 29.

Perhaps no other time of our adult lives is associated with so much change, challenge, and growth. You can use this developmental period -– or adult “growth window” -– to set your life on the track of your choosing.

With my help, you can learn to:

• Find your footing and feel steadier as you navigate adult life
• Understand your feelings better so they feel manageable rather than exhausting
• Connect with your inner strength and adult-self knowing, so you begin to trust yourself and your decisions
• Establish new internal patterns and neural networks that improve your relationships with others and yourself

Changes that you make now can positively impact the rest of your life.

Coaching for Parents of Young Adults

Navigating adulthood is their journey, but you can have a positive impact on their process.

The parenting dynamic shifts when your child becomes a young adult and figuring out how to update your parenting approach is not always easy or intuitive. I offer parent coaching that explores this new territory, helping you maintain a strong parent-child connection while still supporting your child's independence.

Through our work together, you can:

• Shift from 'manager' to 'consultant' in your child's life
• Set healthy boundaries that promote mutual respect and growth
• Manage your own anxieties during their periods of significant change
• Choose a supportive, healthy response when they are in crisis

Supporting your young adult child begins with understanding your evolving role.

AEDP Supervision

I offer AEDP supervision for both therapists and supervisors. In our work together, we’ll balance left- and right-brain learning: we’ll stay grounded in the theory and practice of AEDP while also attending closely to your internal experience and strengthening your trust in yourself.

My style is warm, supportive, and sometimes playful. I believe that play and laughter make it easier to explore, take risks, and learn from mistakes. A big passion of mine is helping all of us – myself included – loosen the grip of perfectionism and embrace learning as an ongoing process.

One of my main goals in supervision is to support you in becoming your fullest AEDP therapist (or supervisor) self. That means helping you grow into your own unique way of doing this work – not a copy of me, a faculty member, or even Diana. No one else can be you, and I have deep faith in the importance of you bringing your authentic self to this work.

A bit about my background: I’ve been in practice for more than 20 years and have helped grow a vibrant regional community of AEDP therapists, serving as both president and vice president of our local AEDP steering committee. I am past Chair of AEDP Supervisors and am a member of the AEDP Supervisor Certification Review Board.

Finally, I have a subspecialty treating young adults and young professionals. You can check out my Transformance journal article that details how I have adapted AEDP for young adults.

My rate is $160/session.
